That's not good.

Why do you think I'm charging in CAD with AuctionSiteWriter? Because of the currency exchange. Yes, I lose some pennies but I gain on time saved. When I did my income taxes(2007), I had to go to every transaction and convert it to Canadian currency for that day.

Of course if our dollar, go down to $0.90, I would convert back to it.

So far, I did not do any bank transfer but it's good to know that it may take longer. In your case, it was 1 day more than the espected maximum of 5 days. If you did your transaction last week, banks were closed on Tuesday last week(Quebec Day). That could be the cause of your delay. Yesterday was Canada day so add one more day ;)

Currently using the free account, meaning no fees for inbound or outbound transfers.
Things that annoy me:
- transfer from a canadian bank account to alertpay account not instant (we're in the same country!). The website states 2-5 b-days. On my first transaction, after 6 b-days and no activity, I called them and they did it within 10 minutes with kind appologies. Second transaction, after 4 days I called trying to speed it up, and was given a terse denial.
- If you need to make a payment in a currency other than your bank's currency, by the time the transfer is over (see above) the exchange rate might have changed. In my case by 5 dollars, and my safety window of 3 dollars was not enough. So I had to do another transaction (see above).
The seller is getting nervous with a 2 week payment delay.

No, I don't but the more webmasters start to use it, the better. :)

When it start to be more popular, PayPal might want to lower their fees to compete.

At least, I'm doing my small part ;)
