While checking the stats on the number of fans, it seems(blog) that they are having a problem with the counter or someone hacked the site. Some are getting above 100 000 when they seemed to have 70 000 a few hours before.

But  the fact is that do have more than 50 000 fans in just  a few weeks. They also going to have 2 events in the coming months.

La marche Bleu, on October 2,  is a march to manifest their support for the return of NHL team in Quebec City and tell politician this is a good time to get the new arena. They have a report that was not made public but looking good for a new arena since Quebec city could be a contender to have the Olympics thus a modern arena will be a must anyway.

The second is an "invasion" of the Nordiques Nation fans(8+ bus)  in Islander Country to see a Trashers(Atlanta) match on December 11 in New-York.  Like Scott emailed, it's not well received by Islander Country fans. Of course, if they seemed threaten by a possible move of either team, it could be their chance to show fans support to their current owners that they want to keep their teams in their cities.

A few days ago,  a local RadioX station started a new fan club: NordiquesNation.com. Their goal, which is not btw a radio stunt,   is to get old and new Nordiques Fans together again to demonstrate that they do want a NHL team back in Quebec City. Now, the "puck" is in their camp since RadioX just build the site to for the fans and later by the fans.

In only a few days, they already have 20,000+ fans from all over who sign up. I was not surprise since Quebec City is a hockey city and many long for the old days of the Montreal's Canadian and Quebec City's Nordiques rivality.

Even I, who is not into watching hockey, would watch those match. Like I mentioned, I'm not a hardcore hockey fan but I like to tease people that are Canadian's fan. when I had the chance. Even none hockey fans were "forced"  to hear news about the team result's on the sport news cast.

The arena

The biggest hurdle is that Quebec City needs a new multifunction arena. That arena would allow many shows/events to take place in Quebec City but right now, the current arena is not up to date. This in turn, don't allow some major shows/events to take place  in Quebec City because of this.

Show me the money

Also, most Quebec City residents don't want to foot the whole bill. The diverse level of government did pledge(elections promises) to help since it could fall in the many infrastructure investment to combat the current world economy slowdown.

But most would agree that a private investor would be better. Add the cost of the team itself, and you are talking about 100s of millions of investment with 400 for the area alone. Like my readers know, I'm more business centric so I do agree that the government should be taken out of the picture for the most part.

Personally, I don't want a big private investor come here like a white shining knight and ask for financial help in a few years from now because of bad planning.  It's a risk but a risk that tax payers don't want to be responsible later on. It most be viable by itself.

For that, I'm not opposed that the investor add a casino in the future arena. That's were the government could help while not having to invest but just allowing it in a joint venture deal. They already permitted a Lottery for Quebec City so why not a casino too?

Taking care of gamblers

Of course, some will whine because of the casino part if the investor do add it. I'm not without empathy for people with gambling problems. But I do believe in personal responsibility.

Besides, I'm sure they would be more positives than negatives for the whole Quebec city. Heck, the investor could just give 1% of the profit(tax deduction anyway )   to help  gamblers that do need help.

After 15 years, Nordiques  items  are still at auctions and available for fans/collectors like you can see below. Imagine having a new team  back. the auction would have to be separated into new and old Nordiques items.

Je suggère un casino(avec de l'aide %1 pour les joueurs compulsifs) pour que le projet soit viable pour un investisseur potentiel. En passant, il y a beaucoup d'enchère pour les produits des Nordiques originals.

Today, I created 10 new sites for eBay. That script is so wonderful! If you want to enter into Internet Marketing with something simple, that's the way I would recommend. The biggest time it take me is to find products on eBay. Otherwise, the script is so simple to install. It's a no brainer. It support eBay, Amazon and Chitika ads so you can diversify your income stream. For now, I'm using eBay but later will create  other type of sites.

For $97, it's not much to pay for what you get. It's only for 14 days.

Rob who made the MSB eBay plugin recently launch a plugin for WP with a few friends. I which them great success with it.

This new plugin allow you to have a page be rewritten thus creating new content for your blog and thus bypassing the duplicate content penalty. This is great to bring traffic to you niche sites. Since I'm moving away from WP to MyStarterBlog, I did not bought it but some of you might want to look at the video.

The second product is a fast niche site creator working with no MySQL backend. This one, I did bought it. I had a chance to use  for the last week and boy! does it make it simple to create niche sites in a few minutes. I'm using $1 .info for now thus lowering my cost. The official launch is in 1 day but take a look now at the video. It support eBay, Amazon and Chitika ads. For each site, you only use one method only.  I can create multiple sites per hour. However, it will be selling for 14 days only. After that, it's bye! bye! bye! no more.   If you are strap for money, I would bye that one first and then the other later with the money you will make.

The default theme is simple and it's not meant to be a competition with MyStarterBlog. The goals are different and both works.

The other product is for creating sales pages and giving you tips on how to do that.

I believe in the diversification of income streams and this one goes into my overall method to make money online.

Like I said, it cost nothing to watch the videos.

Sorry for the lack of updates recently. I have other projects in the works but also updating MyStarterBlog to 1.7. Some preferred to wait for a stable version. You have one now!

Here are a few features:

• The free version allow unlimited blogs now. Of course, I prefer people buy MSB
• Added a List posts button to make it easier to add the bookmarks to do a BMD run.
• When the post was shown partially(more), I was writing in English: Continue Reading: post title.Since I started creating French sites too, it's now an options. The theme will have to be  translated in the desired language first.
• Added [analyticscode] so that you add your own site analytic code.
• You can now see when you last Generated a blog.
• robots.txt now support Sitemap: [siteurl]sitemap.xml to make MSB more search engine crawler friendly
• Added money related tags that could be used in a custom theme like PayPal and AlertPay email, CB id ....
• Added Keyword categories and a theme example. It's similar to "tags" in WP. It's not there by default in the included themes.
• For the MSB eBay Plugin, I added FR for eBay France.
• Added Pingler.com in the ping services.
• Added a quick save back.

The documentation will need to be redone and I'm considering/testing other options.

For now, the price is still $7 but I thinking of increasing the price soon considering the time/work goes into MSB.

Another flu, another risk of flu pandemic(level 5 out of 6). In this case, people will "buy swine flu masks" to protect their family just in case it does become a big pandemic. The downside is that many local stores are now running out of masks. And if they have some, the local stores will rise the price since the demand will be higher.

Even in Quebec City(no case reported yet), people are buying them. I read this in the newspaper this morning.

It won't protect you if you don't wear it the right way thus giving you a false sense of protection a doctor mentioned in the article. Basic precautions are still recommended at this time here: wash you hands and stay home if you have a cold.

If we are lucky(crossing fingers), the flu will be minimal. In any cases, the masks are not wasted since it can be used another time(normal flu), the next big flu or on Halloween. Why do I think we will find many children dressed as medical personnel next Halloween?

But like a doctor said on television yesterday, often, a flu comes back in a second wave. That's what happened with the Spanish flu of 1918-1919. It started in the spring of 1918 only to hit harder in September of the same year. At least, researchers are more ready to combat the swine flu virus.

Yes, I will say it again: CanadaCare did not killed Natasha Richardson.

Maybe because I'm an Internet Marketer, but when I see something like the contrary on US sites/newspapers, I always wonder the reason behind of such statement.

Of course, it's sad that Natasha Richardson died but she made 2 mistakes on her own.

First, Natasha Richardson did not have an helmet. It was her first mistake and she is not alone to do so.

Second, she refused to be treated. Again, it's not because of our CanadaCare. She did what people would do in her case.

What are the ulterior motives of "prosecuting" CanadaCare?

I'm the first to say that our system is not perfect.

But, part of me wonder the reasons of "prosecuting" CanadaCare. We know that US doctors earn a lot more money than their Canadian counter part. So, I have 3 questions that come to mind:

Would it be that the Obama plan to "reform" the US health system scare doctors and insurance companies?

Are those news media more on the right than left of the political spectrum?

Do they want to sell more by making cheap news?

I don't know the answers to those questions but people should question if someone will profit from that directly or indirectly.

I could say that the US health system kills 1000s each year too. I don't have any hard facts but how many can't afford health insurance.  And for those that are lucky to have heal insurance, how many died because their insurance company refused to pay for treatment?

Conclusion

In the end, CanadaCare did not killed Natasha Richardson.

The idea US health system would be a mix of the 2 systems where doctors and insurance companies earn a reasonable profit but also where everyone are treated independently if they have insurance or not.

At least, I like the CanadaCare word. Is USACare next?

Just a quick post to mentioned that AuctionSiteWriter v2.1.0 is now available.

It offer new features for MyStarterBlog:

• Add: In Write auction site, support MyStarterBlog: This will generate a MSB blog and then you can load it into MSB to add more content and use it's themes.  You will need the MSB eBay Plugin from NicheMate
• Add: In Plugin Code Builder, added the support for  MyStarterBlog(default)
• Add: In Site Statistics, you can analyse the WhoIS Expires date only, open the selected sites in batch in your default browser

The main goal was to quicly add support for MyStarterBlog. So, instead of creating a phpBay API site, I will create a MSB blog. I will go to each auction sites I created with phpBay or BANS and convert them to MSB. I will be using the auction theme that buyers get with MSB. They still need to buy the MSB eBayPlugin.

Here is the thing: Big G deindexed most BANS, phpBay sites last year in a vast swoop of the hand. Most of my older sites were affected and some from late last year.

Even with that, January was my record earning month with just Yahoo, MSN traffic. Yes, I added a few auction sites since that but the last 3 months was mostly spent on programming MSB.

Using ASW with the template, I will generate a basic auction site. Then, by using MSB, I will had content specific to each products with an About, Contact and Privacy pages. This will give "credit" to my sites in the eyes of Big G.  I believed that Big G did not like my "thin" auction sites I was creating or it just don't like phpBay API/BANS at all.

Are my deindexed site be reindex by Big G? Maybe but once they are converted to MSB, I will ask for reinclusion anyway. It may take time but I have nothing to loose since most make money from other traffic. Plus, the new look will appeal to visitors and look more professional thus they will tend to bid more.

While most run away from creating new auction sites, a few people I know continued and are making more money from them.

It's up to me to do the same. What about you?
