Where I got my new icons? Icons-Land.com

In my quest to get professional looking and affordable icons, I stumble on Icons-Land.com. I took a look at their 2 packages(Vista Elements and Vista Multimedia) and found most of what I needed for my 2 freewares. I still needed customs icons and decided to request a quote. I received an email shortly after. He proposed to me that instead of getting the 2 packages, I could just pick the ones I wanted at a lower cost. Because those are for freeware applications, I agreed to this proposal. He also submitted a lower price for my custom icons by making them available later to others(optional if you want to pay less). It's a win-win for both of us. I paid less and he extended both of his icon sets. I had to work on my 2 applications(Vista friendly, additions, corrections) so it took a little more time to get my custom icons. I'm sure that if your in a hurry, you could get them faster. Plus, we had a 5 hours time differences because I'm in Quebec City, Canada and he is in Lviv, Ukraine. Both of us emailed each other in broken English but mostly him ;). But don't get me wrong, working with him was very easy. I guest this is the cost of doing international business where not everyone speak perfect English. I'm sure most understand enough English to get by. He sent icons and I approved them or made recommendations(only a few times). My goal was to get a final product that I would liked in a speedy fashion. I think that it worked well. It cost me $160CND for my new icons that I will be using in my 2 freewares. I will not go any further than this because it was a custom job after all. I had read somewhere that North Americans(English) demanded almost perfect English and Europeans were more forgiving. I hope it has change since then because N.A. maybe missing great opportunities. Being mostly bilingual(French first/English second) myself, I tend to be more forgiving when they do try. :D I do think English should be on most sites(International) because it's the business language of choice. ;) You can see the result with MIS Info Video and Info2MIS
